Young people aged 18 to 30, in a precarious situation and residing in Amiens (Somme), can, since May 16, benefit from food vouchers set up by the town hall and the CCAS (Communal Center for Social Action).

This concerns residents whose living allowance, namely the difference between resources and expenses, is less than 450 euros per month, reports France Bleu Picardie.

Six checks of 5 euros

To apply, the person must go to their local town hall to meet with a social counsellor.

It will then be necessary to present an identity document, a proof of residence as well as the documents relating to the resources and the monthly expenses.

Since the implementation of the system, more than 200 files have already reached the town hall.

If the request is granted by the commission of administrators of the CCAS, which meets every Monday for validations, the young person will be able to collect their checks at the town hall within 48 to 72 hours.

They are six in number and represent 5 euros each.

They can be used in most supermarkets for food or hygiene products and are renewable every two weeks.
