Perhaps not opera lovers who will have recognized the Egyptian singer Farrah El Dibany… who decided to tell how she found herself on this improvised stage on the evening of April 24, 2022.

The national anthem "not difficult to sing"

The mezzo-soprano confesses that the organizing team of the election evening only contacted her the day before the event: "I had previously been introduced by Jack Lang to President Macron during a performance at the Institut du Arab world (over which the former Minister of Culture presides)".

In residence at the Académie de l'Opéra national de Paris since 2016, Farrah El Dibany has had no trouble performing the French national anthem "because it is written and composed in a classical manner and can therefore be sung with an operatic voice.
