One year we went out for a meeting, and the two of us sat in the car and chatted all the way. We were really just like sisters, without any barriers.

Even though she is such a great artist, Yelaoshr really has no airs at all.

I didn't expect her to leave like this, and I will always remember her, because she only has overseas Chinese in her heart, and only the country. Her patriotism is something that all of us must learn.

[Explanation] As a professor of the music department, Ye Peiying is full of peaches and plums, and her students also participated in the farewell ceremony that day.

Ding Chaoyuan, a Class of 65 alumnus, recalled to reporters how she got along with Teacher Ye 50 years ago.
