The Iraqi intelligence agency announced the arrest of an African drug dealer in possession of 5 kg of crystal in Baghdad.
The intelligence agency said in a statement: "The Federal Intelligence and Investigations Agency in the Ministry of Interior carried out a lightning operation that resulted in the arrest of an African drug trafficker with red-handed nationality," according to a number of local newspapers.
She confirmed that she had seized 5 kg of the narcotic crystal in the Al-Alawi area of Baghdad governorate.
She explained that the operation took place after obtaining judicial approvals and forming a joint working team from the agency's detachments operating in Baghdad and a detachment from the National Security Agency.
It stated that the accused was handed over to the requesting party under an original receipt.
