With a mixture of digital technology and cultural creativity, the first exhibition of its kind, organized by the Culture and Arts Authority in Dubai under the title “50/50” in cooperation with “Moro Collective”, was an innovative platform for works presented in an enjoyable visual experience, inspired by artistic messages from life. Through 50 non-replaceable digital artworks, by Emirati artists and residents, celebrating Emirati culture, heritage and arts, coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the founding of the UAE.

The exhibition gathered distinguished artistic talents, based on the authority’s role in supporting and preserving the creative talents of Emiratis and residents, including the Emirati artist Khaled Al Banna, the Lebanese artist Makda Malkoun, the Australian artist Neven Majid, and the British artist Matt Ryder.

Artist Khaled Al-Banna said: “During this event, I participated in two artworks, “Earth’s Gravity” and “Intersection color and Gravity,” which are a series of abstract works on paper that I tear and then rearrange and organize at random angles, to explore the possibilities of color constraints. , and the magnitude of the discrepancy in the geometric shapes of the layers.

He adds: “The art ecosystem in the UAE has evolved significantly since the outbreak of the epidemic, and the transition to the digital world has attracted more art lovers online.

We have already seen a wave of emerging young artists capture the attention of curators, collectors and institutions, through interactive programming and digital exhibitions.
