The Île-de-France Mobilité transport union has given new information concerning the next urban cable car which will connect Créteil and Villeneuve-Saint-Georges (Val-de-Marne), reports Actu Val-de-Marne on Wednesday.

While it was previously called Cable A Téléval, the line was finally renamed Cable 1, as it will be the first cable car in the region.

This new means of transport will allow future users to move much more easily between @Villeneuve94190 and @VilleCreteil.

Limeil and Valenton served

It will connect the 8 Créteil Pointe du Lac metro terminus to Villeneuve-Saint-Georges via five stations (Bois Matar, Emile-Combes, Emile-Zola, Durable Times, Pointe du Lac), which will also take it across the towns of Limeil-Brévannes and Valenton.

Travel time between terminals would be 17 minutes.

IDFM has also revealed the first images of the cable car, the preliminary draft of Cable 1 must be approved by the board of directors in the coming weeks.

The population must also soon be consulted on the design of transport.

Work could thus start in 2022, according to the Vite le Téléval collective.
