Loss of smell, or anosmia, is one of the symptoms of Covid-19.

For some, they last up to several months after contracting the virus and no solution has yet been found.

Until a completely fortuitous discovery, in Alixan (Drôme).

This is where a cryotherapy center is located, reports France 3 Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes.

Various ailments are treated with cold: blood circulation, firmness and tone of the skin, fight against stress...

Extend the study

But the cold would also allow you to regain your sense of smell.

In any case, this is what several customers of the center have observed.

One of them explains to our colleagues that he has recovered between 40 and 50% of this sense.

A study was recently published in the medical journal The Journal of Integrative and Complementary Medicine.

Out of 30 people who had between two and five cryotherapy sessions, 28 noticed an improvement in their sense of smell.

The center decided to extend the study to several other institutes in an attempt to confirm its discovery.
