A fire broke out in a two-story apartment in Kokurakita-ku, Kitakyushu City on the early morning of the 31st, and one person was found dead in the burnt remains and two people were burned and treated at the hospital.

Before 3:00 am on the 31st, fire departments were notified one after another that a two-story apartment in Kamiitozu, Kokurakita-ku, Kitakyushu was on fire.



A fire engine was dispatched to extinguish the fire, and the fire was almost extinguished before 5 am, but police and fire departments found one person in the burnt remains.



In addition, two men and women were burned and taken to the hospital.



According to the fire department, they were all aware of the situation during transportation, but the degree of burns was severe.



The apartment has 4 rooms on the 1st and 2nd floors, so police and fire departments are checking to see if anyone else has been late.



The site is a corner of a residential area about 2 km west of JR Minami-Kokura Station.



A man in his 60s, who lives nearby, said, "I heard a flame rising from the roof and a crackling plywood. I never thought there would be a fire in the immediate vicinity."
