On January 1, in Yanshui Village, Xinzhai Town, Yinjiang Tujia and Miao Autonomous County, Guizhou, the industrious and hospitable Tujia fishermen took special fishing dip nets and fish frames to officially start the New Year’s fishing work.
Winter catching and welcoming the new year is a cultural custom of local ethnic minorities that has been passed down for many years.
