REPORTING

A real Ali Baba's cave.

Improbable sequins, feathers and edging outfits spill over the hangers and the show continues onto the mezzanine, home to a collection of voluminous wigs.

Under the roofs of the historic Madame Arthur cabaret, located in Pigalle in Paris, we are already preparing to celebrate the New Year with a new show on Thursday evening.

Europe 1 went behind the scenes of the Parisian cabaret.

Special ... accessories

This special New Year's show is a big event for the costume designer Attenais, who makes a hat for the occasion.

"It's a fairly flat hat, which goes a little to the side. We make it from an oyster tray. I will add either a pearl necklace, or if not a kind of net that makes a little net of peach that you could find in oyster tanks, that sort of thing ", she explains, smiling:" I collected oysters at Christmas, and then I had fun making quilts with them! ".

"It's going to be hectic, rhythmic"

The "creatures", the nickname given to the artists of the Madame Arthur cabaret, promise spectators a grand and joyful New Year's Eve.

Billi Larmaloeil and the doe provide the review.

"It's going to be a little hectic in vaudeville, rhythmic, the doors slamming, all that", say the artists.

And Billi Larmaloeil to give one last fashion advice for the evening: "What always works is the sequin, of all colors".

What to steal the light from the mirror ball ... Madame Arthur's cabaret and her New Year's Eve are to be discovered Thursday evening until Saturday.
