In order to inherit, play and use the historical and cultural value of the Grand Canal, and promote the integrated development of culture and tourism in the areas along the Grand Canal, the 2021 "China Grand Canal Cultural Belt Beijing-Hangzhou Dialogue" will hold the "Millennium Canal Thousand Miles Journey" Chinese and foreign media gathering activities.

From July to October, the special filming team took the "Canal Family" as the core to photograph the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal. It traveled more than 3,000 kilometers from Beijing to Hangzhou. By telling the story of the canal family, it showed the changes and development of the canal, highlighting the Grand Canal. Cultural charm stimulates the vitality of the canal and promotes the protection, inheritance, development and utilization of the Grand Canal.

The Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal Museum of China is located on the south side of the Canal Culture Square in Gongshu District, Hangzhou, adjacent to the southern end of the Grand Canal-Gongchen Bridge.

The cultural relics and related historical materials collected and exhibited by the Hangzhou Grand Canal Museum reproduce the prosperity of the canal in the past.
