Laifeng County, which belongs to the Enshi Tujia-Miao Autonomous Prefecture of Hubei Province, is "the first county of rattan tea in China". It has a long history of growing and drinking rattan tea locally.

In the mountainous areas with inconvenient transportation and lack of medical care and medicine in the past, Tengcha used to be the medicine used by the Tujia people to treat chronic diseases.

[Concurrent] Chen Yongsheng, General Manager of Hubei Xiaoxi Teng Tea Co., Ltd.

Tengcha is different from green tea and black tea. It does not contain tea polyphenols and theophylline. After drinking it, it does not affect sleep.

The main components of Tengcha are dihydromyricetin, selenium, 17 kinds of amino acids, and 14 kinds of trace elements. It can greatly improve and help the human body.

[Explanation] At present, the county has developed a planting area of 80,000 mu of rattan tea, a total of 46 rattan tea professional cooperatives, 31 rattan tea primary processing plants, and four major series of 69 developed by leading enterprises such as Laifeng Jinqi Tengcha Biological Co., Ltd. Products, more than 10,000 farmers in more than 100 villages are engaged in rattan tea planting and related industries, and the comprehensive output value of rattan tea exceeds 1 billion yuan.

[Explanation] The production process of rattan tea is cumbersome, and it has to go through 21 processes such as picking, leaf selection, finishing, and multiple fermentations.

The Chen family is a family of vine tea, and the planting, picking and tea making techniques have been passed down from generation to generation.

Chen Yongsheng inherited the mantle of his father's generation and became the 7th generation of Tujia rattan tea inheritor.

He founded Hubei Xiaoxi Teng Tea Co., Ltd., using the "company + base + farmer" model to promote the development of the rattan tea industry.

We provide technology, provide planting requirements and standards, and provide fertilizer, which must be bio-organic fertilizer.

No chemical fertilizers or pesticides can be used, and after raising its production capacity, the economic benefits of it (Tengcha) are greatly improved.

[Explanation] Recently, the reporter came to the tea garden in Shadaowan Village, Laifeng County, Hubei Province. Chen Yongsheng is teaching local rattan tea growers the techniques of tea planting.

Chen Yongsheng said that in the remote ravines, it was these rattan tea that allowed the villagers to live a good life now.

In March of next year, these rattans will sprout fresh and tender shoots, growing pieces of "golden leaves" that help the Tujia people get rich.

In the past, each mu of us was about 3000 (yuan) (revenue), that is, if the harvest is good, it will be 3000 (yuan), and if the harvest is not good, it will be more than two thousand. Now, according to our number of plants, the number of plants per acre It can reach 5500 (yuan) if you go to plant it, and we guarantee to collect it and purchase it in cash.

Doing so is to increase their (our) economic benefits.

[Explanation] Shadaowan Village is located in the west of Baifusi Town, Laifeng County, with 8 cents of farmland per capita.

The village developed more than 2,000 mu of rattan tea planting bases in accordance with local conditions, with an average income of more than 5,000 yuan per mu, and became an important "pushman" for local farmers to get rid of poverty and become rich.

In 2017, Shadaowan Village achieved the whole village.

In addition to providing technical support to local tea farmers, it also provides many jobs for local villagers.

In our base alone, there are more than 180 people working in tea gardens, and more than 50 people working in factories. Their wages can reach 4,500 overtime when they are busiest.

[Explanation] A villager in Shadaowan Village told Guoying that she and her husband could only guard one-third of their own land in the past, and it was impossible to get rich. Nowadays, they plant five or six acres of rattan tea, which costs tens of thousands of yuan each year. Stable income.

In 2018, Xiang Guoying pushed down the stone house he had lived in for decades and built a new two-story house.

Since they came (after they came), they taught us how to cultivate technology.

We learnt from them, and they sell well outside, so we say that our tea is very good.

The price (money) of it (Tengcha) has been raised.

After making rattan tea, (life) has basically been done very well, that is, the economy is still relatively good.

[Explanation] In fact, rattan tea is not the industry of a village in Shadaowan Village, but the "pillar" of Laifeng, Fumin and strengthening the county.

[Explanation] Li Wei, secretary of the Laifeng County Party Committee, said that without industrial revitalization, there would be no rural revitalization. Rattan tea and Huangjing are the leading industries in Laifeng, and they are also important carriers for the consolidation of poverty alleviation results.

Laifeng will highlight its advantages and stand on its own characteristics. The whole industry chain will develop characteristic agricultural industries such as rattan tea and Huangjing, so that farmers can share the value-added benefits of the industry and embark on a road of rural revitalization with distinctive characteristics and vitality.
