The Crescent Spring is located 5 kilometers south of Dunhuang City, and is named after its shape resembling a crescent moon.
The Crescent Spring is about 3 meters deep. It has been surrounded by mountains without being buried for thousands of years. It is very strange.
It was designated as a national key scenic spot in 1994, attracting millions of people to visit Mingsha Mountain Crescent Spring every year.
