  The 5 newly confirmed cases, involving 2 men and 3 women, aged between 14 and 62, all arrived in Hong Kong from designated areas in Group A. Among them, 4 cases involved infection of mutant virus strains.

So far, the total number of confirmed cases in Hong Kong has increased to 12,488.

  The SAR government announced on the evening of the 11th that in response to the confirmation of Omi Keron cases in Cyprus, Jordan, and Lebanon, the SAR government will designate these areas as designated areas of Group A, which will take effect at midnight on December 14.

Non-Hong Kong residents who have stayed in the above-mentioned areas within 21 days are not allowed to enter the country.

  On the same day, the Director of the Food and Health Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, Chen Zhaoshi, said in a meeting with reporters that Hong Kong’s current implementation of the highest level of external defense measures can protect Hong Kong from Omi Keron virus.
