China News Service, Kunming, November 20 (Du Xiaoxiao, Luo Dong Liao Zhen) Four members of the Kunming Natural Resources Survey Center of China Geological Survey entered the Ailao Mountain hinterland on November 13 from Zhenyuan County, Pu'er City, Yunnan Province. After losing contact.

At present, Pu'er City is increasing its search and rescue forces and launching a carpet search and rescue. As of 13:00 on November 20, more than 1,900 rescuers have been dispatched.

On November 20th, official rescue forces including forest firefighting and fire rescue, as well as non-governmental professional rescue forces such as the Yunnan Mountain Rescue Team, according to the unified deployment of the headquarters, began to search from the assembly ground up the mountain.

According to reports, the search and rescue a few days ago mainly focused on the chocolate, drinks, feces and other evidence clues left by the missing persons, but it was ineffective.

On the 20th, the Yunnan Provincial Fire Brigade and the Pu'er City Forest Fire Brigade each dispatched another 50 forces to participate in the search and rescue, and the search plan was also slightly adjusted.

"Today we decided to focus on the simple shack where the four missing persons had stayed, with a radius of two kilometers, to conduct a full-coverage, carpet-like, seamless docking, and a thorough search." said Liu Dongjun, political commissar of the Pu'er Forest Fire Brigade. Divide the search and rescue team into 5 teams for forest firefighting and 5 teams for urban firefighting. The 10 teams divide the area into 10 equal parts. The responsibility is to the person, and every ditch and every hole are thoroughly investigated.

It is understood that the lost contact area is located in the core area of the Ailao Mountain National Nature Reserve, with high mountains, dense forests, ravines, and extremely complex terrain. It is an uninhabited area. Search and rescue personnel need to start from the foot of the mountain at an altitude of more than 1,700 meters. Climbing over many mountains at an altitude of more than 2,800 meters, the search and rescue work is facing numerous difficulties.

"The forest canopy density here is relatively high, reaching 94%, and it is difficult for our satellite phones to make calls." Liu Dongjun told reporters that the temperature difference between day and night in the forest is relatively large. It can reach about 20 degrees Celsius during the day, and it will drop to 7 to 7 at night. Around 8 degrees.

Because the Ailao Mountain is very steep, densely wooded, ravines are everywhere, and the geographical environment is very complex, it takes a lot of time for search and rescue personnel to enter the search and rescue area from the foot of the mountain on foot.

In order to allow search and rescue personnel to spend more time on search and rescue, the headquarters has set up a first-level supply station and a second-level supply station in the search and rescue area for rescue personnel as camps, and mobilized the local people to manually transport materials to the supply station.
