Her Highness said that this new global achievement for the country, and achieving this leap in its performance with this important international report, is the result of the continuous support provided by the wise leadership, and Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, to the gender balance file, in order to consolidate the consistent approach to supporting women on which the state was founded before 50 years, and as a result of the legislative amendments that the Emirates Council for Gender Balance worked on with its government partners from ministries and federal entities on the Personal Status Law and the Law on Regulating Labor Relations, the issuance of the Domestic Violence Law, the Discrimination and Hate Law, and the Social Security Law, in addition to the update on women’s data in Parliament, among amendments, laws and new policies, that included more than 20 legislative articles during the past two years.

Her Highness Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum added that the UAE's outstanding performance with this important report, and its achievement of first place in the Middle East, is added to the series of achievements and qualitative leaps for the country in recent years, with global reports and indicators on women and gender balance, which This file reflects the priority of this file in the leadership’s vision and directives, expressed in the state’s future strategic plans, which focus on enhancing women’s participation in various fields in the next 50 years of the state, within the interest in investing in human beings in general, with a focus on supporting the economic, social and political role of women.
