Old

M Night Shyamalan is an imaginative thriller maker who mixes tops and flops in a good mood.

This time it's about a bunch of people who get stuck on a beach where they suddenly start to age with galloping speed.

Can be interesting, and the talk says it's something of a return for Shyamalan.

Summer 85 (Summer 85)

French Francois Ozon is a big favorite with an unusually wide repertoire that ranges from bright comedy to the darkest thriller and this time we get a story of tricky love in a sun-drenched Normandy.

I have not seen it yet but I can put my sun hat on that Ozone once again puts its head directly on the relationship nail.

The father

If the high summer now looks thin, the late summer is all the fatter.

One of many exciting titles is the drama The Father - and there we get to step into the mind of a demented old man, in Anthony Hopkins' Oscar-winning character.

Does that sound nasty?

It is, too, but also extremely suggestive and well-told.

Can be the best film of the year, right now.
