In Tokyo, it has been a week since the transition to priority measures such as spread prevention, but during that time, the number of confirmed infections has continued to increase.

For eight consecutive days up to the 27th, one day's infection confirmation exceeded the same day of the previous week, and the average for seven days also exceeded the previous week, and the city said, "The possibility of re-expansion is higher. We are calling for thorough measures.

1 day infection confirmation

The number of infected people in Tokyo peaked at 1121 on May 8 and began to decline after the third state of emergency was declared in April.

However, it has stopped declining since mid-June and has been gradually increasing since then.

Specifically, from June 20th to 27th, it has continued to exceed the same day of the previous week for eight consecutive days.

In particular, during the four days up to the 26th, the number of people increased by more than 100 from the same day of the previous week, and the rate of increase is remarkable.

7 days average

Looking at the 7-day average, the number was 477.4 as of the 27th, and by the 27th after the transition to the period of priority measures such as spread prevention, the number had increased by nearly 90.

Under the state of emergency, the 7-day average reached 933.9 on May 13, peaking and then declining, and from May 18th, the number of days was below the 7-day average of the previous week.

However, since June 20, the day before the transition to priority measures, the number of days has exceeded the previous week.

Compared to the time when the third state of emergency was declared in April, the number of people at the same level as now is 476 on April 12.

Around this time, the seven-day average was rising, rising to 727.1 on the day of the state of emergency on April 25. In about two weeks, the number has increased by 1.5 times, or more than 250 people.

The city is calling for thorough countermeasures, saying, "In a situation where the number is increasing little by little, the possibility of re-spreading the infection is increasing."
