The 59-year-old group who carried out signature activities in Saga City for forging a signature using a part-time job because most of the signatures for the recall and dismissal request of Governor Omura of Aichi Prefecture were not recognized as valid. Was arrested on suspicion of violating the Local Autonomy Law.

The person who was arrested was Takahiro Tanaka (59), the secretary-general of the Aichi 1 Million Recall Association, the organization that carried out the signing activities.



Of the approximately 435,000 signatures submitted for the recall and dismissal request of Governor Omura of Aichi Prefecture, 83% were not found to be valid, and police suspected that a large number of signatures had been forged. I was investigating on suspicion of violating the law.



As a result, it was suspected that Secretary-General Tanaka had forged his signature in Saga City last October by having a part-time job copy a list with his name and address written on it. I was arrested earlier on suspicion of violating the Local Autonomy Law.



Secretary Tanaka told NHK this month, "I asked an advertising company to collect signatures, but the specific method of having a part-time job copy it was planned by the advertising company." He denied his involvement in counterfeiting.
