On the night of May 16, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government announced that it would further tighten the quarantine and testing requirements for people arriving from Taiwan.

Starting at 0:00 on the 17th, those who have not completed the vaccination must undergo mandatory quarantine at the designated quarantine hotel for 21 days, during which they undergo four tests.

Those who have completed the vaccination are required to undergo compulsory quarantine at the designated quarantine hotel for 14 days and undergo three tests during the period, followed by self-monitoring within 7 days, and undergo compulsory testing on the 16th and 19th days of arrival in Hong Kong.

  The SAR government also announced that from 0:00 on May 17th, all persons who have stayed in Taiwan on the day of boarding or 14 days before must present the COVID-19 nucleic acid test performed within 72 hours before the scheduled departure time at the time of boarding. The negative result certificate and the confirmation letter of booking the room at the designated quarantine hotel in Hong Kong.

After arriving in Hong Kong, you must undergo a test waiting arrangement at the airport. After the negative test result is confirmed, you must take a special bus arranged by the government to the designated quarantine hotel for compulsory quarantine.

Under relevant requirements, non-Hong Kong residents will not be allowed to enter the country.
