Rapper "Shock Ji" found dead in a hotel

American rapper Gregory Edward Jacobs, better known as Shock J, was found dead yesterday at a hotel in Tampa, Florida, at the age of 57.

According to TMZ, Shock's father, Edward Rucker, confirmed his death, indicating that the authorities would conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

 The office of the mayor of Hillsborough County also announced his death, while providing no reasons for that incident.

The late singer was one of the major rap names for the band "Digital Underground", which had a string of successes in the early 1990s, and he also played a role in introducing the well-known singer Tupac Shakur.
