Water, a primordial resource -
20 Minutes
It is everywhere.
And yet, water only represents 1,386 million km3 out of the 1,083,320,000,000 km3 of its total volume.
Suffice to say
peanuts
.
Result?
Its presence is rare, its unlimited access is a privilege far too often underestimated by those who do not lack it.
A worrying access to water in some countries
If a French person consumes, on average, 53,300 liters of drinking water per year, “more than 1.42 billion people in the world, including 450 million children, live in areas where access to water is highly or extremely worrying ”, according to the latest data collected by the United Nations Children's Fund (Unicef).
So, on this World Water Day,
20 Minutes
reminds you, in pictures, a few figures, just to appreciate a little more the flavor of these few drops without which life would be more than compromised.
