Recently, people in the area under the jurisdiction of Longrui Conservation Station in Nonggang National Nature Reserve in Guangxi found a protected wild animal that was suspected of being a lepi, and immediately contacted the staff of the protection station and rushed to the scene.

After the staff brought the wild animal back to the protection station, they immediately contacted the Autonomous Region Wild Animal Rescue Center to start rescue sampling.

After identification, the rescued wild animal is a national first-class protected animal-the wispy monkey.

After the rescue and sampling work, the staff confirmed that the wispy monkeys were in good physical condition and had the conditions for releasing them in the wild, so they took the wispy monkeys to the protected area and returned to nature.

The wispy monkey is a nocturnal primate. It is the smallest proto-monkey in my country. It belongs to the national first-level key protected wild animal. At present, there are only about 100 wild animals in the country. They are mainly distributed in southern Yunnan and southern Guangxi. This is the first discovery of Nonggang Reserve.

The discovery of the Japanese loris increased the number of primates recorded in the Nonggang Reserve to seven, and the Nonggang Reserve has become one of the protected areas with the largest distribution of primates in my country.
