On the 22nd, a flock of about 20 sika deer appeared on the ground of an elementary school in the center of Tomakomai City, Hokkaido, and police and others were on alert for a while.

Around 6 am on the 22nd, a school teacher found a flock of about 20 sika deer on the ground of Tomakomai Nishi Elementary School in Yashiro-cho, Tomakomai City, and reported it to the police.



Even after the police officers rushed in, the deer sat on the ground and bumped into the horns, so at school, the children were forced to go to school by circling the school road to keep them away.

After 9 am, the flock of deer left the school grounds and moved to the premises of the paper mill, with no injuries to children or citizens.



Vice-principal Yuji Fukuoka of Tomakomai Nishi Elementary School said, "I've seen a lot of deer lately, but I was surprised to see it for the first time.



The site is in the central city area, about 2 km from JR Tomakomai Station, and according to Tomakomai City, eight deer sightings in the city area have been received this month.



In the city, even if you see a deer, do not approach it and ask the city hall and police to contact you.
