The Belgian club Ostend announced the termination with "immediate effect" of the contract of its goalkeeper Fabrice Ondoa, who is accused of having organized a party at his home in defiance of the restrictions linked to the coronavirus pandemic.

Supposed to be the organizer of a clandestine party at his home in full confinement, the porter of the Ostend club in Belgium is the subject of a dismissal procedure served on Tuesday, December 15.

”, underlined the executive president of the club Gauthier Ganaye in a press release.
The party took place during the night from Saturday to Sunday and the police intervened following noise pollution.
Eleven reports were drawn up for non-compliance with sanitary measures.
The Ostend police were called for nighttime noise by neighbors, around ten people were in his apartment.

I admit being shocked, because the leaders did not even bother to invite me to explain the facts with which I am accused,
”wrote Fabrice Ondoa on his Facebook page.

If they had taken the trouble to invite me to explain, they would have understood that I had nothing to reproach myself with.
I did not organize anything at all and it was surely not a "lockdown party"
(expression used to designate a clandestine party, editor's note).

Trained at FC Barcelona, Fabrice Ondoa, passed through Sevilla, arrived in the summer of 2018 at KV Ostend, without ever really managing to win in goals.
He has not yet played a single match this season, the Belgian club preferring to line up Guillaume Hubert in his goals, according to Belgian media.
KV Ostende is currently 9th in the Belgian football championship after 17 matches.
