Around 40 employees celebrated Christmas in a senior citizen center, of all places.

After an anonymous tip, several patrol cars moved out and dissolved the works meeting in Erding, Bavaria, as the police announced on Monday.

The celebration took place on Friday inside and in the courtyard of the facility.

In addition to a bar for drinks, the officers also found a food truck.

The police took the personal details and forwarded them to the responsible district office.

According to media reports, Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte is expected to announce a strict lockdown in a television address that evening.

Among other things, all schools are planned to be closed by January 19, reports the broadcasters NOS and RTL, citing government circles.

Even shops that offer goods that are not urgently needed have to close.

According to the NOS, the same applies to museums, cinemas, zoos, day care centers and hairdressing salons.

Should it come to that, the measures would be stricter than those imposed in the Netherlands during the first virus wave between March and May.

At that time schools also had to close, but shops were allowed to stay open.
