In Heidelberg “mulled wine happenings” got so out of hand that the police had to move in with all available emergency services.
While up to 20 people stood together in small groups at points of sale in the old town and in the Roman district, drank the mulled wine they had bought immediately and in some cases violated the distance rules, all the dams in the center of Rohrbach broke.
Up to 200 people were counted just before 5 p.m.
On the occasion of the “mulled wine walk” carried out by four restaurants, they consumed the drinks and food they had bought on the street.

Instead of a walk, the mulled wine drinkers stood crowded together.
The distance rules were not adhered to, and in almost all cases no mouth and nose protection was worn.
The police said that eleven patrols with 22 officers were necessary to resolve the situation in the center of Rohrbach.
The identities of around 70 people could be determined.
Fine proceedings are initiated against them.
It is now being clarified whether those responsible for the restaurants who aggressively advertised the “mulled wine walk” in advance will also face a fine.
Düsseldorf: 100 young people clash with the police

Around 100 young people clashed with the police and the security service in Düsseldorf's old town on Saturday evening.
A police spokesman said on Sunday that some had violated the Corona Protection Ordinance and hindered the controls.
A youth from the group physically attacked employees of the service.
When the police arrested him and tried to take him away in a patrol car, the other young people surrounded the vehicle and prevented it from continuing.
The group loudly chanted the demand for the youth's release.
They only fled when more police officers arrived.

Several people between the ages of 16 and 20 were caught and taken into custody.
The suspect youth was arrested.
He should get a criminal complaint.
Further charges against other people for breach of the peace are still being examined, it said.
Corona infections in NRW at a high level
The number of new corona infections remains at a high level in North Rhine-Westphalia.
The Robert Koch Institute reported on Sunday a value of 139.8 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within a week (nationwide 142.0).
On Saturday, this value for NRW was just above 140.5.
Compared to the previous Sunday, the number is down: A week ago the RKI reported a value of 146.0.
The highest values were still in Hagen (263.4), in the Lippe district (228.1), Duisburg (216.7), Wuppertal (205.8) and Solingen (201.5).
After a temporary relaxation of 54.8, Münster has exceeded the seven-day limit of 50 again.
According to the RKI, 3319 people in North Rhine-Westphalia were newly infected with the coronavirus within one day, 32 people died.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 284,816 infections have been registered and 3,924 have died.
There are currently around 65,100 infected people.
