Snow fell in parts of Xinjiang and Inner Mongolia yesterday

  Yesterday, 1 to 4 millimeters of snow fell in Tacheng and Altay in Xinjiang and Hulunbuir in Inner Mongolia.

This morning, heavy fog appeared in the Sichuan Basin, central and eastern Yunnan, and local visibility was less than 200 meters.

  It is expected that the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and surrounding areas, Fenwei Plain and other places will have poor atmospheric diffusion conditions from the 10th to the morning of the 12th, with light to moderate haze and heavy haze in the central part of North China.

Affected by the weak cold air from noon on the 12th, the haze weather in the above areas gradually weakened or dissipated from north to south.

Typhoon Ai Tao affects the South China Sea

  This year’s No. 21 typhoon "Ai Tao" has intensified into a severe tropical storm level yesterday (9th) night. Today (10th) at 6 o'clock in the morning, its center is located in the sea about 110 kilometers southeast of Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa Province, Vietnam. On the sea surface, it is 12.1 degrees north latitude and 110.2 degrees east longitude. The maximum wind force near the center is 10 levels (25 m/s), the minimum air pressure at the center is 985 hPa, and the radius of the seventh level wind circle is 180-250 kilometers.

  It is predicted that "Ai Tao" will move to the southwest at a speed of 15-20 kilometers per hour, and its intensity will gradually weaken. It will land on the coast of northern Khanh Hoa Province, Vietnam around noon today (tropical storm level, 8-9 level) , 18~23 m/s).

After landing, the intensity quickly weakened.

  Affected by the typhoon "Ai Tao" and the cold air, there will be 7~20 on the Taiwan Strait, Bashi Strait, northern and western South China Sea, Paracel Islands, central and southern coast of Fujian, and eastern coast of Hainan Island from 08:00 on the 10th to 20:00 on the 10th. There will be strong winds of level 8, including part of the southwestern part of the South China Sea with winds up to level 9, and gusts of 10 to 11. There will be heavy rain or heavy rain (50 to 80 mm) in the southeast of Hainan Island and the Paracel Islands.

The Central Meteorological Observatory continued to issue a blue typhoon warning at 06:00 on November 10.

Specific forecast for the next three days

  From 08:00 on November 10 to 08:00 on November 11, there was light to moderate snow or sleet in some areas in northern Xinjiang and other places.

There were light to moderate rains in parts of southern Gansu, southern Shaanxi, western Sichuan Basin, southwestern Sichuan, western Yunnan, Hainan Island, Taiwan Island and other places. Among them, there were local heavy rains or heavy rains in southern Hainan Island and northeastern Taiwan Island (50~ 55 mm).

There are 5 to 7 winds in parts of central and western Tibet, the eastern coast of Jiangnan, and Hainan Island (see Figure 1).

The southern part of the East China Sea, the Taiwan Strait, the Bashi Strait, the east of Taiwan, the Beibu Gulf, and most of the South China Sea have winds of magnitude 6-8 and gusts of magnitude 9 or higher.

  From 08:00 on November 11 to 08:00 on the 12th, there was light snow or sleet in parts of northeastern Inner Mongolia and northwest Heilongjiang.

There was light to moderate rain in parts of southern Gansu, western and southern Sichuan Basin, northwestern Yunnan, Hainan Island, eastern Taiwan Island and other places. Among them, there was heavy to heavy rain (25-55 mm) in southern Hainan Island (see figure) 2).

The Taiwan Strait, the Bashi Strait, the South China Sea, the east of Taiwan, the Beibu Gulf, and the Qiongzhou Strait have winds of magnitude 6-7 and gusts of magnitude 8 or more.

  From 08:00 on November 12 to 08:00 on the 13th, there were light to moderate snow or sleet in parts of northeastern Inner Mongolia, central and western Heilongjiang, northern and western Xinjiang, and southern Qinghai. Among them, northern Heilongjiang and northern Xinjiang In the northern mountainous areas, there is a blizzard (5-10 mm).

There were light to moderate rains in parts of the central and southern parts of the Northeast, the western and southern Sichuan Basin, and Taiwan Island (see Figure 3).

The Taiwan Strait, the Bashi Strait, most of the South China Sea, and the east of Taiwan have winds of magnitude 6-7 and gusts of magnitude 8 or more.
