The book in which Joe Biden talks about his son Beau, who succumbed to cancer five years ago, will be published in French in March by L'Archipel editions.

It will appear under the title

Promise Me, Papa

, which is the literal translation of the original title: 

Promise Me Dad

.

“Joe Biden - who had already lost in 1972 his first wife and their 13 month old daughter in a road accident, accident in which Beau was seriously injured - moved all Americans with this book [released across the Atlantic in 2017], nourished with passages from his diary, ”says the editor in a press release.

Second book

Promise Me, Daddy

is the second book from the former Vice President, who will become President of the United States on January 20.

He had published in 2007, during the presidential campaign of Barack Obama, his Memoirs, still unpublished in French, under the title

Promises to Keep

("Promises to keep").
