Singer Johan Kinde and keyboard player Wolgers met at a nightclub in Stockholm in 1981 and quickly became good friends.

Shortly afterwards he joined Lustans Lakejer, and the band recorded the album Uppdrag i Genéve, which with the single Stilla nätter became a breakthrough.

- He added an incredible amount to the band.

Tom was educated, he learned piano from a young age, and it added a whole new dimension to the music, says Johan Kinde, singer in Lustan's lackeys.

Role model for the band members

The four-year-old Wolgers had seen more of the world, Kinde remembers, and tells of how he, with his interest in art, music, food and wine, became a role model for the other members.

- To me he was like a big brother.

Tom was so used to the world, he added confidence to the band, says Johan Kinde.

- With Tom we became pop stars.

His enthusiasm, his zest for life and his love of art were contagious.

He leaves a big hole in all of us, he was one of the last few really eccentric people left in Sweden.
