On September 11, the Propaganda Department of the Leye County Party Committee of Baise City, Guangxi Province, introduced that at 18:00 on September 10, when the tunnel construction was carried out at 540 meters from the left cave of Leye Avenue in the county, the rock on the top of the cave suddenly collapsed, causing it to be inside the cave. Nine construction workers were trapped in a critical situation.
At present, more than 400 people from emergency, public security, fire protection, housing construction, natural resources, health, transportation, hospitals and other departments have rushed to the scene to carry out rescue work.
The accident site headquarters promptly mobilized large excavators, loaders (forklifts), 120 rescue vehicles, fire rescue vehicles, life detectors, temporary generators, temporary communication equipment, etc. to participate in the rescue, and began to prepare tunnel reinforcement materials and equipment. Reinforce the existing arch in the collapsed area.
The Baise City Fire Rescue Detachment used a radar life detector to detect it for 10 hours. As of 5 am on September 11, no signs of life were found.
The on-site rescue team is continuing to carry out rescue work in accordance with the rescue plan formulated by the expert group.
