The Construction and Development Office of the Macao Special Administrative Region Government said on the 27th that the fourth sea-crossing bridge from the Macao Peninsula to Taipa has completed the preliminary work. The contractor recently held a construction start and first pile drilling ceremony, marking the bridge’s formal entry into structural engineering.

  Article 4 The Macau-Taipa Cross-sea Bridge cost about 5.27 billion patacas. It was jointly designed and constructed by China Civil Engineering Group Co., Ltd., China Railway Construction Bridge Engineering Group Co., Ltd. and AMA Construction Engineering Co., Ltd. The total construction period is 1,098 working days. The project will be completed in January 2024.

  According to reports, the fourth Macau-Taiwan Sea Crossing Bridge starts from the east side of the Macau New City Reclamation Zone A, connects to the artificial island at the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Port, to the Macau New City Reclamation Zone E1, and is reserved for connecting the viaduct to the Datan Shan Tunnel. . The main line of the bridge is about 3.1 kilometers long, of which the sea-crossing section is about 2.9 kilometers long. There are two navigation bridges with a span of 280 meters. Three sea-crossing bridges have been built and opened to traffic between the Macau Peninsula and Taipa, namely, the Governor-General's Bridge, the Friendship Bridge and the West Bay Bridge.
