Chinanews client, Beijing, August 28th, title: Yuan Zhen, who was "distressed by the sea", is he a "scumbag"?

What is the most sincere love? It can be the beauty of the two sides together, or it can be the long-lasting miss.

"It used to be difficult for the sea, but Wushan is not a cloud." This is a poem written many years ago by the great poet Yuan Zhen for his deceased wife Wei Cong. It is deeply affectionate and makes people cry. The love between them touched the hearts of countless people.

However, based on various data, Yuan Zhen's feelings for Wei Cong may not be as perfect as the world imagined.

One

Yuan Zhen is a well-known figure in the Tang Dynasty. He also formed a "No. 1 CP in Tang Dynasty Literature and Art Circle" with his friend Bai Juyi. But the starting point of his life path is really low.

For example, I got a bad hand at the beginning: the native family is not high, his father died when he was eight years old, and the family conditions were difficult, so his mother had to teach him to read and write.

Fortunately, he was clever and upright, and took the exam when he was 15 years old. But the problem is that the Tang Dynasty had a lot of imperial examination titles. Compared with Jinshi, Mingjing was not regarded as much. Despite the victory in the First World War, he still didn't get any good official positions.

Yuan Zhen also had to patiently continue to study hard. Fortunately, he was later appreciated by the new Jing Zhao Yin Wei Xiaqing, and he intended to marry his little daughter Wei Cong.

The turning point has come. In the nineteenth year of Zhenyuan (803), Yuan Zhen was selected to be the secretary of the provincial school due to his outstanding talents, and life events were also on the agenda, and he married Wei Cong as his wife. Like a watershed, his career is about to usher in a bright moment.

In Yuan Zhen's life, Wei Cong occupies a very important position and has always been the white moonlight in his heart.

This marriage was originally not so simple. For Wei Xiaqing, it can be said to be an investment; for Yuan Zhen, it is an opportunity to enter a higher-level social circle, and both parties have their own small calculations.

But Yuan Zhen's luck is really good. Wei Cong is very kind, can be good at poetry, and is born rich but not vain. Yuan Zhen married Yuan Zhen for the first time and lived a very poor life, but she has never complained, taking care of all the housework and doing her best to take care of her husband's life.

In order to buy wine for Yuan Zhen, she can sell the golden hairpin on her head; when there is no other way, she has also used fallen leaves to make a fire; life is difficult, but she can always have fun in hardship. This is great support to Yuan Zhen.

Maybe it was overwork, maybe the body wasn't very good. Seven years later, Wei Cong passed away. Yuan Zhen really experienced what it means to be a heart-wrenching pain: at this time, the official career is slowly smoothing, but the wife who shared weal and woe has left forever.

He couldn't help but reminisce about the good time the two lived together. He wrote the "Five Poems of Li Si", the most famous one, which I believe many people have heard of:

"It used to be difficult for the sea to be water, except Wushan is not a cloud. Take a look back at Hua Cong Lazily, Half-Year Cultivation and Half-Year Lord."

As time passed, Yuan Zhen couldn't let go. In "Three Songs of Sorrow and Sorrow", he said, "I sincerely know this hate everyone has, and poor couples are sad", and solemnly promised "Only you will keep your eyes open all night and repay your unfolding eyebrows."

Since I met you, everyone else is destined to be a passer-by; the deceased is gone, and I will miss you forever for every long sleepless night.

With those poems that are sincere and sincere, Yuan Zhen successfully portrayed the image of a "infatuated gifted man". Many people sighed when he talked about his feelings for Yuanpei's wife.

However, in terms of Yuan Zhen's various emotional experiences, infatuation may exist, but specificity may not be necessary.

Someone once verified that before meeting Wei Cong, Yuan Zhen fell in love with other women, but later considered that the other party was not very helpful to him in the official career, so he cruelly turned to marry Wei Cong.

He wrote a "Biography of Yingying", and it is said that the heroine Cui Yingying is based on this lover. Mr. Lu Xun mentioned in "A Brief History of Chinese Novels": "Yuan Zhen used Zhang Sheng to live by himself, describing the realm he experienced." Later, "The Story of Yingying" was adapted by Wang Shifu as "The Story of the West Chamber", which was famous all over the world.

Even after marrying Wei Cong, Yuan Zhen didn't change her character as a romantic talent. In the fourth year of Yuanhe (809 years), Yuan Zhen was "envoyed to Eastern Shu" and later met the talented woman Xue Tao. The two reportedly had a vigorous "sister and brother relationship".

This relationship ended without a problem. Yuan Zhen has a special hobby. She often writes poems for women she likes, so she has the poem "Send to Xue Tao". The original text is a bit long. In summary, it is probably "I miss you so much, I loved it at the beginning."

In addition, his confidante and talented woman Liu Caichun, who sings well and is good at "joining the army", but the two have no results. In addition, he also married An Xianbi as a side room. After An Xianbi died of illness, he continued to marry fellow lady Pei Shu as his wife.

four

It cannot be denied that Yuan Zhen does have a diligent side in politics. He once wrote "Playing the Sword Nan Dongchuan Jiedu Envoy", boldly impeaching judges, caring about the suffering of the people, and being welcomed by the people. Several times because of being outspoken.

He is talented and has the same name as Bai Juyi, and is known as "Yuan Bai" in the world. However, Yuan Zhen's reputation is not as good as the latter. One reason is that some people questioned that he later depended on eunuchs in order to achieve a high position; another reason is that he was too slanderous because he was "successful in marriage".

However, it is also said that a comprehensive evaluation of a person's behavior must always be based on the time and environment he lives in. Perhaps in the time he was living, it was not uncommon to continue strings and accept concubines.

But now it seems to people that they know his affiliation with Xue Tao, Liu Caichun, and even An Xianbi and other women, and then compare the affectionate phrase "Review of the Flower Cong Lazily", it is inevitable that they will be like a throat.

The past has finally become a cloud. More than twenty years after Wei Cong's death, one day in July in the fifth year of Yamato (831), Yuan Zhen died of a sudden illness at the age of 53. (Finish)
