At Friday's press conference with the Minister of Culture and Sports Amanda Lind (MP) and the Minister of the Interior Mikael Damberg (S), it was announced that the government now wants to review the restrictions for events with audiences. Among other things, concerts and sporting events with seated audiences may be allowed.

- And then there will be more than 50 people, says Damberg.

However, the 50-year-old ban remains, Interior Minister Damberg clarifies.

But the artist Lina Hedlund is pissed at the news.

- It is not about increasing the spread of infection, we need a living culture and how can we solve it based on these restrictions.

- I think it's going too slow.

Concerns among small organizers

The details of the promised reliefs are unclear at the time of writing, more than they will apply from 1 October. Minister of the Interior Mikael Damberg announced during the press conference that they are now waiting for a message from the Public Health Agency, and that the proposal will first be submitted for consultation.

To a direct question about infectious distances, Damberg answered that there may be a distance of two meters between each guest. A message that would be a disaster for small organizers, says Annelie Telford, CEO of Debaser in Stockholm.

- It will be an improvement for large arenas, but for us it is rather a deterioration. All guests must have two meters between them and other guests in all directions. This means that we do not even get 50 people in our premises, as today when parties can sit together, she says to Kulturnyheterna.

- It is a message for the big arenas, for football and other sports. But that is not the solution for cultural Sweden. I think it's a joke that they can not even say which audience limit should apply, it should really be clear now, she continues.
