Despite a life as a copywriter behind him, Lasse Berghagen thought it was nice to put the biography in the hands of someone else.

- It's nice to have a ballpark and Marcus is very good. A good word processor, says Lasse Berghagen to Kulturnyheterna.

- Lasse Berghagen is a cultural icon who has been around for an incredibly long time. I got in touch with him and flirted a bit, saying that if you need any help with writing your memoirs, you are welcome to contact me, says Marcus Birro.

Stayed on Cornelis houseboat

The book will focus on important events and meetings that shaped the artist, the songwriter and the former lead singer.

- It is very exciting how he enters the artist world. He made his debut in 1965 and everything happens so incredibly fast. Lill-Babs seduces him, they have children, later he lives on a houseboat with Cornelis Vreeswijk. That period is awesome, says Marcus Birro.

What is it that you want to talk about that he will duck for?

- I will ask all questions, then he will see what he wants to answer. But I do not think he enters into this with any other ambition than to be honest even when it comes to dark and difficult sides. I do not think he is afraid to approach the black sides either. But it is his book entirely, he decides for himself, says Marcus Birro.

Lasse Berghagen himself does not want to go further into which life events will be addressed in the book.

- There will be a lot of meetings. I have met everything from Nicko McBrain in Iron Maiden to what is the exact opposite of hard rock. It will be both minor and major, as life is. But I'm not a bitter type.

"Hello life!" will be released in the fall of 2021 at the Bonnier Forum.
