Recently, Xu Chenjie, a “glass boy” suffering from congenital brittle bone disease in Zoucheng, Shandong, scored 654 points in the 2020 college entrance examination. He can't walk normally like an ordinary child, but with strong perseverance, he has been at the top of the school for 12 years. He said that he also wants to realize his life value through learning and acquiring knowledge.
When Xiao Chenjie was 8 years old, he had a strong desire for knowledge when he saw many of his peers carrying schoolbags to school. Entering school to study requires Xu Chenjie to work harder than ordinary people. He can only use stricter standards to demand himself. Grandpa uses a wheelchair to pick him up and down every day, leaving both grandparents and grandchildren on the way to school without knowing how much sweat.
With strong perseverance, Xu Chenjie is often rated as a triple-good student, and has also won honorary titles such as the National Outstanding Young Pioneers and Shandong Virtues Youth.
When talking about the next choice of volunteering, Xu Chenjie said that he hopes to study in Shandong University majoring in computer or Chinese language.
