In recent years, the duo have expressed regret over some of the jokes in Little Britain.
- If I could go back in time and redo the series, I wouldn't be joking in the same way about transvestites and blacks. In principle, I wouldn't do the series today. It would only make people upset. Then we created a cruder kind of humor than the one I devote myself to now, Lucas said in a 2017 interview.
Walliams also said that he "definitely" would have made a different series if it happened in today's cultural landscape.
Little Britain aired in 2003-2008.
