On April 21, thousands of wild yellow sheep migrated along the Sino-Mongolian border area under the influence of strong cold air at the Arihashat port in Hulunbeier, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.

According to the police on duty, the number of yellow sheep currently operating on the border line of the Azhashat port is about 6,000. According to analysis, due to the strong cold air, the sudden drop in temperature and the high wind force, this group of wild yellow sheep is "forced" to make a choice to forage and migrate to the border area between China and Mongolia.

Yellow sheep is a national second-level protected wild animal and is included in the IUCN Red List of Endangered Species. It mainly inhabits Inner Mongolia and Xinjiang in China and Mongolia. (Reporter Li Aiping Chen Feng)
