Miyagi Prefecture: Request for suspension of business from 25th April 21st 20:50 for entertainment and sports facilities

In response to the spread of the “Emergency Declaration” nationwide, Miyagi Prefecture holds a new type coronavirus countermeasures headquarters meeting, which will be closed from the 25th of this month to the 6th of next month, targeting recreational facilities and sports facilities within the prefecture. I decided to make a request.

Governor Murai, executives from the prefecture, and Professor Mitsuo Kaku from Tohoku Medical and Pharmaceutical University participated in the Countermeasures Headquarters Meeting held at the prefectural office.

Among them, the prefecture side explained the policy of requesting suspension of business from all over the prefecture from the 25th of this month to the 6th of next month in order to prevent the spread of infection, and to further prevent infection. It was officially decided with the consent of Prof. Kaku and others who would make it thorough.

▽ Sales of daily necessities (supermarkets, convenience stores, etc.)

▽ Transportation facilities such as railways
▽ Financial institutions
▽ Sento ・Barbers, beauty salons

We request cooperation from these facilities such as day care centers and nursing homes for the elderly to take appropriate measures to prevent infection.

For restaurants and other facilities that provide meals, we request that business hours be between 5 am and 8 pm and that alcohol be served until 7 pm.

Governor Murai also asked the municipalities in the prefecture to cooperate, and he said that he would pay the cooperation fee to the business operators who cooperated with the holidays, and held an urgent municipal mayor meeting on 22nd to discuss the amount.

After the meeting, Governor Murai said, "I will make a request for a leave based on the law. I want to contain the virus without being overwhelmed. I want to have hope because the drug will come out soon. ".
