A video clip of a Finnish policeman who loves operatic singing has made widespread use on social media, after he tried to fight the chaos caused by isolation measures against the emerging Corona virus.

The video clip has been seen over a million times on YouTube, and Petros Schroderus appears as he sings the Finnish version of the Soviet song, "Love Life!" (1956), as he walks through his uniform in the streets of the city of Oulu in the north of the country where he works. "I wanted to sing something that really binds my heart," said Shroderos, a tenor and policeman in the city, about 200 km south of the Arctic Circle.

He explained that the song promises that "the night will pass and the morning will come with the arrival of a bright new day", and "the availability of sympathy", especially for those who live alone in light of the current health crisis.

Less than 24 hours after the song was broadcast online, the policeman said he was "shocked" by receiving hundreds of thanks from all over the world, especially from Europe, Australia, Russia and the United States. He added, "A young woman undergoing hospital treatment wrote to me, telling me that she saw the video and cried," noting that he is keen to respond to all the messages he receives.
