On Wednesday, the Lantana Atelier of Arts and Culture in Abu Dhabi launched the "Khair Jalis" initiative, in cooperation with the Riyadh Women’s Literary and Cultures Gallery in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The initiative came against the background of the agreement signed last year in Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah, between the Atelier and the Gallery, and stipulated the organization of activities to encourage culture and arts in society, and to enhance the strategic partnership to support the cultural movement in the region.

The owner of "Atelier Lantana", Farah Al-Bastaki, said that this initiative is part of the activities implemented remotely due to the current circumstances, with the aim of contributing to what benefits the community, by encouraging reading, writing and drawing from homes.

Al-Bastaki said that five winners will be chosen every month, to honor them with participation certificates and motivate them with cash, explaining that the invitation is public and participation is available to all.

She added that, in implementation of the agreement signed with the gallery, they had previously worked together in organizing the first exhibition of artists of Medina in Abu Dhabi entitled "The Goodness of the Kind" that was opened by Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance. The exhibition highlighted features of the arts and culture of Medina, with the participation of 18 plastic artists, and a large number of owners of traditional handicrafts.

For her part, said the deputy chairperson of the Women’s Literary and Intellectuals Gallery, the poet and artist Madinah, Leila Al-Ahmadi, that “cultural and artistic cooperation between the gallery and the Atelier accomplishes one of our common goals, which is to take advantage of the time we spend in our homes between hope and hope, and spread the aesthetics that appear in these times Among the creators and creators ».

It is noteworthy that the “Lantana Atelier” was established in 2017 in the capital, Abu Dhabi, as an artistic cultural salon to support talents and arts.
