The spread of the coronavirus continues in the Great East. Between Sunday and Monday at 3 p.m., 165 new cases were identified. A total of 1,563 people are affected, according to figures communicated by the Grand Est Regional Health Agency.

The Haut-Rhin is still the department hardest hit, with 688 cases against almost half of its neighbor Bas-Rhin (354). With 222 people tested positive, the Moselle also suffered a lot.

Also between Sunday and Monday at 3 p.m., six additional deaths were recorded. These are “people aged between 77 and 91 years”, specifies the ARS.

Since the beginning, 51 people have died from the epidemic in the Grand Est.
