According to the document, the president is appointed for a term of up to five years and can be prematurely dismissed by the Russian government on the proposal of the Ministry of Culture.
It is assumed that the president will lead the museum along with the general director. If one of these posts is vacated, then the responsibilities go to the one who occupies the second.
The document emphasizes that the Director General manages the financial, economic and industrial-economic activities of the Hermitage, while the competence of the president will be the international activities of the museum.
Earlier it became known that the Hermitage will open virtual access to its funds.
