Taylor Swift is the most searched singer on Google to believe the ranking published by the Mountain View company. Last Sunday, the search engine celebrated International Women's Rights Day by publishing the names of the women most sought after by internet users at the start of 2020.
Next to the popstar, we find Serena Williams in the sports category and Awkwafina with regard to actresses when Toni Morrison dominates research in terms of authors.
That's not all
The ranking also included other information on the status of women in Google searches. We learn in particular that research on "the emancipation of women" has increased by 330% in the United States since 2004.
Definitely, Google searches remain one of the best ways to probe the spirit of the times.
