We know the final program for the 2020 Vieilles Charrues edition. The Breton festival, organized from July 16 to 19 as every year in Carhaix, communicated on Thursday the rest of its programming for this 29th edition in which Europe 1 is once again a partner.
Four big names in music are added to the program, which already features Céline Dion, DJ Snake and Angèle: James Blunt, Lauryn Hill, Maxime Le Forestier and Stephan Eicher. Electro fans will be served with the bounding English Hot Chip, the revolutionary techno Meute brass band and the fiercely engaged club music of Bagarre.
Pop is renewed at L'Impératrice, enhanced with heady trap and RnB rhythms at Lous and the Yakuza, borrowed from sentimental destinies at Malik Djoudi, mixed with rap and reggae at Poupie and sunshine at La Battue. On the rock side, make way for the mind-blowing post punk from Fontaines DC and The Murder Capital! Hip-hop enthusiasts will appreciate the relentless passion, both laconic and poetic of Zed Yun Pavarotti, and will certainly not miss Johan Papaconstantino and his electronic-Greek influences under the Gwernig marquee.
Ticket exchange will open on July 1
It is under this same marquee that aficionados of traditional music from here and elsewhere will discover the maloya of Maya Kamaty, the massive Dordogne trio, the unique blues of Muddy Gurdy, the traditional psychedelic sounds of Derya Yıldırım's & Grup Şimşek, the traditional Cape Verdean punk music of Scúru Fitchádu, the musical laboratory of KBA # 7. And with Conq-Felder, Le Brigant-Prigent, they will join their little fingers in rhythm during the traditional Fest-Noz! Finally, the DJ Sets of Mortal Cobra, Stepart, Big Ben, GareSud, Slimjim and OBF will make festival-goers dance until the end of the night at the Park du Château!
The festival is sold out. The exchange for tickets between individuals will open on www.vieillescharrues.asso.fr on July 1.
