Sixteen new cases of coronavirus were identified during the day of March 11 in New Aquitaine, announced this Thursday the ARS (Regional Health Agency). This brings the number of cases in the region to 88.

The ARS also indicates that four schools closed their doors due to the virus, including three in the Lot-et-Garonne: Jacques-Philippe-Delmas-de-Grammont college, Olympe de Gouges nursery school and the Théophile de Viau elementary school, in Port-Sainte-Marie in Lot-et-Garonne, after a teacher from the college tested positive for Covid-19. An investigation to identify contact cases is underway. "The three establishments will remain closed until Friday evening as a precaution, to allow work to identify contact cases and thus limit the spread of the virus" specifies the ARS.
