[Explanation] On March 12, the 42nd Arbor Day in China arrived on schedule. The demonstration project along the Yellow Ecological Corridor led by Henan officials was launched intensively.
For the prevention and control of the new crown pneumonia epidemic, at the main site of the launching ceremony, outside the embankment of the Zhengzhou section of the Yellow River, the number of people participating in voluntary tree planting was controlled to about 300 people. Luoyang, Kaifeng, Xinxiang, and Sanmenxia had no more than 200 people. The tree planting site was uniformly killed, and participants wore masks throughout the process. Tree planters are paired with each other, some supporting trees, some filling, some watering, small trees stand up from the ground.

(Planting a tree) makes sense and will benefit future generations. Ecological greening along the Yellow River is also a very important thing for us.
[Explanation] It is understood that the ecological corridors of the Yellow River have been upgraded and upgraded. The demonstration projects of ecological corridors such as the Zhengzhou section, Kaifeng section and Xinxiang section were started in advance. According to regional characteristics and functional positioning, the construction standards for ecological corridors along the Yellow River were formulated.
On the day of the Arbor Day, three provinces, cities, and counties of Henan Province coordinated, and eight cities and counties along the Yellow River launched afforestation at the same time. These demonstration projects “points” that were started intensively, and two “three vertical and five horizontal” such as the tributaries of the Yellow River and high-speed high-speed rail These "lines" of side-planting afforestation promote the implementation of large-scale land greening projects such as mountain ecological forests, rural greening, farmland protection forests, etc., and the overall advancement of forest Henan construction.
[Explanation] In recent years, Henan Province has carried out large-scale land greening in the areas along the Yellow River. It has completed afforestation of 2.9 million acres in the ecological conservation zone and has an area of 1,400 square kilometers to control soil erosion. However, an area of 16,900 square kilometers still needs to be treated. Upgrading the ecological corridors of the Yellow River and dressing up the Mother River is Henan's "first move" to promote ecological protection and high-quality development in the Yellow River Basin.
