FACT-CHECKING

Nicolas Dupont-Aignan's team specifies at 20 Minutes that the elected official relied on an article which appeared in Le Figaro on March 8, announcing this new possibility for city laboratories to carry out screening tests for coronavirus.

The Directorate General of Health, reporting to the Ministry of Health, and Health Insurance confirm to 20 Minutes that the cost of a test in these laboratories will amount to 54 euros. This will be reimbursed up to 60%, they assure. The remaining 40% will be covered by mutual insurance companies. 70 city laboratories across the country will be able to process these tests, according to the general management.

These tests will be “only by prescription”, underlines the general management. Only a doctor can issue a prescription for testing. The sample will be taken "at home". The health professional who will insure him "will wear a FFP2 type mask", specifies the general management. Tuesday, the union of biologists had denounced the lack of masks available to them.

The patient will not have to travel to get their results. These will be forwarded to the doctor who ordered the test, as well as to the health authorities if it turns out to be positive. More than 1,000 tests are carried out every day, assured the ministry on Tuesday.
