The Lebanese artist Marcel Khalife and the Algerian artist Souad Massi expressed their happiness at the audience’s meeting in the Emirates, during the ceremony that will bring them together, tomorrow, at Al Majaz Theater in Sharjah, within the evenings of "Welcome to Al Majaz".
Marcel Khalifeh said: “For the second time, we will return to the Al Majaz Theater in Sharjah, and I remember a spring night of two years and a large crowd that cannot be included in the open air. I had to start the evening, and in the silence of the big crowd, said the tendon beyond the skin and bone, and it was playing on Melody directly, this was the first time on this stage. We return on March 13, 2020, and coincidentally it will be the birthday of the poet Mahmoud Darwish, so that we can sing in mind a song and desire that the world be more beautiful. ”
The Lebanese musician added: “The song comes in its full warmth, a beautiful maqam that moves and fills the space, expressing our human skies, our concerns and our anxiety, even if it is a rainy poem or a reflection of a rose. It penetrates the heart of the lover and lover of the earth to remind us of existence, unity, pain, joy, and intense emotion with the desire for life. The evening, accompanied by the daughter of Algeria, the artist Souad Al-Masi, will pass through a light that expresses the amazement with a new conversation that deeply interferes with what concerns us. With love, we meet with you on March 13 on the stage of Al Majaz Theater. ” The audience will live with a night filled with a classic mixture of art, as the Lebanese musician will sing the most beautiful songs and musical pieces he presented for the country and love, in which he translated many poems for great poets, most notably the Palestinian Mahmoud Darwish, the Lebanese Talal Haidar, the Bahraini Qassem Haddad, and others.
For her part, Souad Massi described singing in Sharjah as a greeting from Algeria to the Arab world, expressing her great happiness to meet her Emirati and Arab audience, and the participation of the artist Marcel Khalife the artistic concert, hosted by the Al Majaz Theater in Sharjah, the integrated and unique cultural and entertainment destination in Sharjah, within The evenings of "Hala Al-Majaz".
And she said: “About a year ago, my voice was present on the stage of this unique theater, through the song (Ya Al-Rawi), which accompanied the dancers during the concert hosted by the theater entitled (One Thousand and One Nights, the last chapter), which came to the opening of the celebrations in Sharjah, the global capital of the book for the year 2019, and I am happy to participate in one of these evenings that presents the Arab audience with their favorite artists to enjoy their work. ”
She continued: «Beautiful Sharjah is a wonderful city that offers so much to the creator, and I am proud of my presence here and I thank those in charge of these evenings for inviting me to meet my honorable audience in the Emirates, and I look forward to the evening being full of songs that touch the hearts of those present, because I believe that music is the bridge we cross to meet ourselves.
