La Redoute will include large sizes in its next clothing collections. The brand has announced that clothes going beyond size 46 will be included in the spring-summer 2020 collection, reports La Voix du Nord .

To support this new orientation, the brand asked its stylists to design classic models up to size 52. These garments will be integrated into the “La Redoute Collection” label, the brand's brand. 25% of the models in the next collection are affected.

Maintain "style consistency"

La Redoute will therefore abandon Castaluna, the specific brand for large sizes that it had acquired ten years ago. Women "do not want to be cataloged, put in boxes," says Philippe Berlan, deputy general manager of La Redoute in charge of trade. “The key word is inclusiveness: considering women in all their diversity. "

La Redoute does not stop there: the brand has also planned clothes going beyond size 52. For this, a new range will be launched: La Redoute Collection Plus. The models will be inspired by the initial garment with a shape adapted to large sizes for a “style consistency”. For clothing beyond 58, La Redoute will offer brands other than its own.
